The 10 Best Healthy Restaurants in Madrid

1. Bumpgreen

Phone: +34 910 880 999

In the heart of the Salamanca neighborhood, very close to the popular El Retiro Park, you will find a fantastic place to explore slow food, taste local cooking, recognized farming, and respectful practices. Bumpgreen is one of my favorite healthy restaurants in Madrid.

The restaurant offers a wide menu of healthy breakfasts, starters, salads, rice dishes, pasta, and burgers. You will also find fish and meat, although at Bumpgreen, they have joined the sustainable ‘Meatless Monday‘ initiative.

2. Aloha Poke

Address: C. Libertad 17, 28004, Madrid
Phone: +34 910 005 099

At Aloha Poke, they advocate for the idea that a healthy diet is necessary for a balanced and happy life. That is why they propose a Slow food concept based on quick attention but with foods that respect the Earth’s timeline; grown and selected without haste.

If you are into healthy eating, you are probably familiar with the poke concept, a fresh and diverse dish from Hawaii, with a base of rice and all kinds of vegetables.

At Aloha Poke, you can customize your dishes to your liking with gluten-free, vegan, or lactose-free options, either in the restaurant or through their delivery service.

3. Flax & Kale

Address: C. Trafalgar 1, 28010, Madrid
Phone: +34 919 057 975

Flax & Kale offers a concept they call “Healthy Fast Casual”, providing tasty and different healthy food for quick meals without compromising wellness. In fact, the restaurant’s motto is “Eat better, Be Happier, Live Longer”.

This Instagram-popular restaurant has become so successful that its dishes and products can be purchased online and in some supermarkets in Spain. Their plant-based menu is filled with dishes from around the world, including salads, bowls, pasta, burgers, and even tacos.

Flax & Kale is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Madrid too.

4. Honest Greens

Address: Paseo de la Castellana 89, 28046, Madrid
Phone: +34 931 227 664

Every day, there are more restaurants in Madrid incorporating healthy cooking concepts into their offerings. You might already be familiar with Honest Greens, which has several locations in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Portugal.

Honest Greens provides dishes made from fresh and healthy seasonal produce sourced from local farmers who practice responsible and sustainable farming. You can build your own dishes in 3 steps, choosing proteins, salads, and sides.

5. Roots Lamarca

Address: C. Fernando VI 10, 28004, Madrid
Phone: +34 914 421 229

When talking about healthy restaurants in Madrid, Roots Lamarca couldn’t be missing from my list. The dishes are crafted with seasonal ingredients, local produce, and unprocessed foods.

They mainly sell pre-made or customizable bowls, which you can also get to go using one of their biodegradable containers. They also offer toasts, pancakes, smoothies, and plant-based pastries without refined flour or sugar.

6. Naked & Sated

Address: C. Serrano 110-112, 28006, Madrid
Phone: +34 914 413 102

Naked & Sated has become one of the most popular healthy restaurants in Madrid, known for the quality of its products at very reasonable prices. In fact, it has already opened several establishments in the capital and other Spanish cities such as Barcelona, Málaga, Valencia, and Bilbao.

The goal of Naked & Sated is to make you feel good about yourself, satisfying you with healthy foods and light digestion. To achieve this, they use natural ingredients without calorie-heavy sauces or ultra-processed foods.

You will find quinoa pizzas, carb-free pasta, and delicious 100% natural desserts and cakes on their menu. Naked & Sated is also a place where you can enjoy a meal with all your family.

7. Raw Coco

Address: C. Gral. Pardiñas 21, 28001, Madrid
Phone: +34 914 495 017

Also in the Salamanca neighborhood, you will find this tiny but super cozy restaurant. While it specializes in breakfasts and brunches with toasts and bowls, it also serves lunches and snacks with wraps, paninis, bowls, and salads.

Not to mention the delicious smoothies perfect for any time of the day, and you can get them to go. What better plan than to enjoy a delicious healthy drink while shopping in Madrid or strolling through the spectacular El Retiro Park?

8. Run Run Run

Address: Pl. Juan Zorrilla 1, 28003, Madrid
Phone: +34 911 669 094

Run Run Run is undoubtedly one of my favorite healthy restaurants in Madrid. Not only for its original and distinctive decor, but also for its healthy and natural food and its “Clean Eating” philosophy, a concept for those who lead a “healthy” lifestyle and eat with the intention of taking care of their body, mind, and environment.

The restaurant offers a sustainable and seasonal menu with bowls, toasts, and more elaborate dishes made using long, slow-cooking techniques that help preserve the flavor and nutrients of the food.

9. Zest

Address: C. Recoletos 10, 28001, Madrid
Phone: +34 914 318 367

This restaurant has become the “place to be” for healthy eating in the capital due to its fun and laid-back approach. At Zest, they make a great effort to create and reinvent traditional dishes in versions that are equally delicious but much healthier.

The “patatas muy bravas”, the ham and truffle croquettes, the original sin pizza, and the Smash Zest burger are some of the most popular dishes on their menu, always in a healthy version. Their desserts are no exception, even the donuts here are healthy.

10. Viva Burger

Address: Costanilla de San Andrés 16, 28005, Madrid
Phone: +34 913 663 349

The last on my list of healthy restaurants in Madrid is Viva Burger. Despite this spot located in the La Latina neighborhood offering a variety of starters and salads, the queen is the burger as you can imagine from its name.

With an important peculiarity, the “meat” used is made daily with vegetables, peanuts, and oats, and served with whole grain sourdough artisan buns.
